Leadership Development

Our work in this vertical addresses the capability gap across both ends of the leadership spectrum: existing leadership and emerging leadership. We offer programmes for senior nonprofit leaders on institution building, governance, and sustainability, in partnership with other academic institutions and sector experts. To nurture the next generation of social impact leaders, we offer a range of initiatives for Ashoka students, including an 18-month fellowship programme.

Our goal is to raise sector ambition, talent and sustainability.

Strategic Nonprofit Management—India

SNMI is an executive education programme for social impact sector leaders aimed at building sustainable institutions at scale, delivered in partnership with Harvard Business School. Exploring best practices in nonprofit strategy, governance, and leadership, the programme prepares senior decision-makers to build and grow a high-performance organisation that can fulfill its mission, expand its scope, and achieve its potential for improving lives.

Mother Teresa Fellowship

The Mother Teresa Fellowship (MTF) is an 18-month programme that works with selected graduates from Ashoka University’s Young India Fellowship programme who are embarking on careers in the social impact sector. The programme provides mentorship, community building and networking support, as well as financial assistance to Fellows earning below a certain threshold.

Student Engagement

CSIP’s student engagement activities at Ashoka University are geared towards raising awareness about the social impact sector and exposing students to a range of people, organisations, and approaches to working in the sector. This is done through career development workshops, guest speakers, internship opportunities, special events and a newsletter.
