CSIP’s student engagement activities at Ashoka University are geared towards raising awareness and exposing students to a range of people, organisations, and approaches to working in the social impact sector. Activities offered on campus and virtually include career guidance, experiential learning projects, guest lectures, internship opportunities, special events and communications channels.
The ‘Jagriti’ volunteering opportunity is a year-long programme for students to understand social issues and real-life challenges by giving them an opportunity to work at the grassroots level. Jagriti volunteers over the semester work every Saturday with an organisation called Breakthrough in villages around Sonepat. The students work on education and other community-related issues. For 2020-2021, the programme will move online and introduce more organisations that are interested in working with Ashoka students.
